What do we believe?

The Bible is the inspired, infallible word of God(2 Tim. 3:16; 2 Peter 1:20-21). All people are sinners and need to have a saving relationship with God. People are made children of God when they repent of their sin, place their trust in Jesus Christ, and commit their life to Him(Genesis 1:26,27; 3:1,24; Romans 3:25; 5:12-18 ; 1 John 1:8). We believe in one God and accept the mystery of God the Father, God the Son and God the Spirit(Genesis 1:1,26; Matthew 28:19; John 1:1,2; 4:24; Acts 5:3,4; Romans 1:20; Ephesians 4:5-6; 2 Corinthians 13:14). Jesus came to redeem us by His life, death and resurrection. We're incapable of holiness or perfect love apart from the Power of God.

Jesus is fully God and fully man. He came to earth, was conceived in the virgin Mary and lived a sinless life. He died and rose again to reconcile all people to God and to free them from the power of sin, death and the devil. He will return someday and consummate the building of his Kingdom. All who are his bride shall reign with Him, all who reject Him shall suffer eternal destruction(Matthew 1:18-25 ; Luke 1:26-38 ; Romans 9:5; Titus 2:13). If you're interested in becoming a member or hearing a more detailed exposition of our core beliefs, read our statement of faith here, we also offer our 9 part Foundations Class here.

What to expect on a Sunday?

The way we worship when we gather is absolutely a part of who we are! When you walk into one of our services, expect to hear expressive music with many instruments ranging from piano, guitar, bass, drums and of course, singing! Words will be displayed on a screen for everyone to sing along with, and often times a person will do a special song during the offering. We sing modern songs and hymns. The style may vary due to the variety of worship leaders… but the goal remains the same, to bring honor and glory to Jesus Christ and to be used by Him to draw people to Him! Also expect some scripture reading during the Worship Service, we believe the Word of God is powerful!

Expression in Scripture

Here’s a few examples of expressions in Worship and Praise from the Bible,

Psalm 9.2 “I will be glad and rejoice in You: I will sing praise to Your name, O most High.”

Speaking/sharing Testimonies

Psalm 145.4 “One generation shall praise Your works to another, and shall declare Your mighty acts.”

Psalm 130.1 “Out of the depths I have cried to You, O LORD.”

Clapping hands

Psalm 47.1 “O Clap your hands, all you people!”

Psalm 150.4 “Praise him with the timbrel and dance”

Psalm 47.1 “Shout unto God with the voice of triumph.”

Psalm 150.4,5 “Praise Him with the timbrel and dance, praise Him with stringed instruments and organs. Praise Him on the loud cymbals: praise Him on the high sounding cymbals.”

And absolutely expect to hear Preaching from the Word of God, and People sharing stories of what God has done in their lives and prayer requests! We are a family first, because God has made us one. We don't all actually have much in common, but that's only part of what makes it amazing and beautiful! We hope to see you there!
